This weekend (9-10 April 2016) is the Sci-Fi on the Sidings event, being held at the East Lancs Railway. This is an opportunity to see characters from films with the beauty of a steam engine.
The themes are Doctor Who, Star Wars, Back to the Future.
Trains are running throughout the weekend, with normal fares for the weekend.

‘Freedom of the line’ tickets give you an unlimited amount of train rides and free entry to the Bury Transport Museum.
Doctor Who attractions will be at Bury Bolton Street, with Back to the Future attractions will be at Rawtenstall.
