This weeks Throwback Thursday takes us back to the Autumn of 2014. We see Merddin Emrys working hard to find grip in the leaves on its way to Tan-y-bwlch.
The Ffestiniog Railway is a 13 and a 1/2 mile narrow gauge railway in Gwynedd, North Wales. It is also joined by the Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon at Porthmadog. The railway was originally used to carry slate from the mountains at Blaenau Ffestiniog. Originally, no locomotives was used, instead, horses carried the empty wagons up the hill, and full wagons were brought down to Porthmadog via gravity.
Merddin Emrys is the oldest working Double Farlie on the line and is joined by David Lloyd George and Earl of Merioneth.
