The North Norfolk Railway (NNR – also known as The Poppy Line) have announced that BR Standard 4 Tank No. 80136 will be the first guest for the line’s Spring Steam Gala in April this year.

About 80136

80136 attends the gala thanks to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR), where the engine is based and privately owned. The tank arrived at the NYMR in April 2016, requiring a complete overhaul.

This was completed in August 2016, with the engine returning traffic on the NYMR. 80136 currently carries BR Lined Black with Early Crest.

Spring Steam Gala

This event takes place between Friday the 20th and Sunday the 22nd of April. Home fleet, 80136 and possibly more guest will be operating throughout the three days.

There are plans to see home fleet Standard 4 2-6-0 Tender No.76084 paired with 80136. More details will be released closer to the time.
