Description
A storm, getting wet and stealing a train.
Introduction page from the book:
The children are riding on the little railway across the farm, when they get caught in a rainstorm. While drying by the fire, Grandpa tells them two stories from the old days on the railways – both stories are true.
Driver Bill Hoole offers two young girls a ride in the cab of his steam locomotive: They have been soaked in a storm, and the heat of the cab is the perfect place to dry out. However, they end up stealing the train!!
Another of Grandpa’s amazing-but-true stories.
A 32 page paperback book with 12 watercolour pictures
