(Rock n Rolle to all shook up) Ive spoke of early 60s before, But that’s all lost in the ether of time! With the change of Loco’Stop layout! A Temple Meads run east toward London? (Steam), A big station with two fast through roads? (Ok, I forget)! And as usual i join driver to view a very busy platform! The new dress! Attire! The short mini…

Blimy that was quick Michael! Dr Beeching ordered me east to Bristol? A large GW Railway Hostel house in Cotham with 30 or 40 fellow railwaymen and long distance crews? A new small end i fitted to my Arial Huntmaster twin for the trip! A fireman’s fancy of BSA, Norton or triumph? Dream of Trophy but afford T21! Lol. Some story there? But not…

(That time of year), Driver sets down his oil can and calls for Sanders! An innocuous feel of the grains between thumb and fingers, A quick swipe of the hand over his trouser leg and move on to next one! An overlapping lid of the sanding tube keeps contents cosy and dry! Strange memories for this time of the calendar? To disturb and blow…

(Mmm), Just wondered if any Ivatt steam footplate person might be near southern side of the Isle of Wight? A giant A 380 Airliner out of Heathrow is circling very low burning fuel for long time? Its flight to Miami aborted! I added the Ivatt bit so its a bit railway? With over 400 passengers its like a very full train in the sky? Doing…

Leave home at 4am and pushbike twelve miles in wind or rain? 15 or early 16y old kid from school would clean or awake the giants! Never could explain the responsibility? Put it here, Put it there, Its going central tender first. But only (34s)…

But that Barrow road shed number became 22A in late 50s? Plus we took it from St Phillips Marsh (82B) in 64? So an American singers? lyrics of ‘Like a bouncy ball, She come bouncing back to me’ come…

I remember back in 70’s going to my mate’s before school and helping to fly and feed his Kestrel (sometimes the cat would join in), it would often climb high in the sky, surprising the old pigeon, then over the road to school and watching the fireless steam engines in the coal yard at the local power station. Then in the 80’s being accused…
