I think Heritage rail areas allowing grasses and some vegetation to mature, Seed and die back is good for overwintering birds and suchlike! Burn-back seems to promote new growth for winter seeding! But constant chemicals and its goodnight Irene!! Can anyone get on Flicker lately? And Golds gone crazy! Krugerrand, Britannia or Queens beasts…
Michael Ashworth and dublo-
They get Douglas to steam up and down the East Lancs to set fire to the line side.

Sorting out some things, I find my old BR badge of Bath road green suit diesel days? (Its on the piece of old rail) Plus a Midland or LMS railway badge. Crews might come south to Bristol, (Redlands BR hostel), Where i would live with many others, A large house! Up to six of us to a room! Long distant crews in top floors! (The attic). Midland…

Them Southern Bulleids would come n go! You might get something quite different back, Airstream gone! Fancy new Walschaert gear? A recent show on here of Eddystone was a similar path like Taw Valley, Both Atlantic coast express regulars! 92 then 257 squadrons in that order would follow, Then Manston! So many of them! Life would go on,…

Silver on the up! But VAT spoils it? Gold goes through the roof this morning at £2,007 an ounce or $2665 US Dollars! So what price coal for Heritage, They only take a very small amount, But with a large steel plant closing coal burning furnaces this very day and high quality arc steel production some way away? Then imported loss must be…

Clive I love your sense of humour, I know how they make steel from cast iron (they add carbon) so if they stop using coal where is the carbon content coming from, the dirty coal imported from many miles away is going to create far more CO2 than if we mined it in the UK, so the new Arc plant will create more CO2 than the old one!!!???

So i get to think of my cleaner to firing days and sat on my eight wheel banker discussing the latest Cuban crisis when in comes King Edward or King Henry the V1 whose driver navigates red cow crossing and i always get a wave .from its…

Two Castles! (sounds like a ‘two Ronny’ sketch)! They got away from Exeter St Davids (GWR) in fine style and sounding good! .With their Mayflower steam tour to Plymouth! An I K Brunel 7ft broadgauge plus Atmospheric line at one time? (early 1844 on)! But went standard gauge in 1892! These Pilgrim passengers will return, No Atlantic crossing…

Personally i’d put these up with A4s? Minus Flying Scotsman of course! Nothing come of the Southern trials that i can make out? Bulleids done ok? Mallard broke down? The time keepers may just as well stayed in the pub! Nothing was gained, Maybe Heritage conduct such a trial? They must know what coal consumption for the fleet of foot…

(TWO Castles tomorrow)! Edgcombe new to me, But i tended 7029 back in 64 / 65 at Bristol. Not long i add. But Dr Beechams 3rd pref rule would have every young fireman moving shed to see the country! So its this or Nine elms, And does the young lady i am to marry follow the rails to me? Or do i show my shovelling skills to our local council?…
