A Midland engine brings down the Atlantic Express? Whatever next? Where’s Clan Line? Or Southern Bulleid engine? This west end of platform 2 is where it would be changed over. An overcast day in Exeter! I get two cups of Costa coffee but David didn’t show! I picture a Unit tenderly going down St Davids steep bank! For those interested in old steam? Then a multitude of old Merchant Navy type EG, Blue Star, Clan Line, Gen St Navigation etc would come off, While Bl’ Vale, Eddystone, Fred Pile, 81, 92 or 257 squadron…

I’d have joined you for a Costa had I known 😃 Talking about 65 years ago, I had hair then. Nowadays it’s a solar panel.
