Sorting out some things, I find my old BR badge of Bath road green suit diesel days? (Its on the piece of old rail) Plus a Midland or LMS railway badge. Crews might come south to Bristol, (Redlands BR hostel), Where i would live with many others, A large house! Up to six of us to a room! Long distant crews in top floors! (The attic). Midland badge presentation box says LMSR formed 1923? From London North Western Lancashire & Yorkshire railways! Midland Caledonian Glasgow South Western, Highland plus others and the West Coast mainline for Euston? Blimey, It was a time for amalgamation!! A pretty badge but difficult to say! Wish i had kept all my Southern stuff now! Though an old Merchant Navy brake block makes a fine patio door stop on windy days!
