@Mike_Ashworth : It’s probably OK. Miami is further south of the west to east crossing of the storm. Of more concern in this locality is any tidal surge affecting the Vizcaya house and gardens fronting Biscayne Bay, the winter residence created in 1914 by John Deere, millionaire industrialist. The house and gardens had some damage caused by a surge a few years back. A place well worth visiting if you’re ever in the area.

@LesliePlatt It seems to have hit Tampa harder, as I have a few friends down that way who where effected a bit. I have a cousin that lives up the north east of the USA and as he is retired he does travel (he loves the East Lancs) and he decided to visit family and friends in Texas and Arizona, one state froze and the other one had snow fall.
