Has Mayflower got away from Taunton yet? Its due through YouTube Dawlish cams around Mid-day (12ish) today? But i see no times on mainline steam reports! I will put on the cam and hope its just a glitch!

I feel for Werner of the visiting Switzerland group (Below)! Trains doors and windows locked? In all my days on the steam footplate no one stepped off a train at 60mph? I have been on two other steam railways. The Bo’ness % Kinneil Railway and the Strathspey Railway. There you could take photographs and the train was not so closely monitored by stewards.

Empty aggregates train from Boston Docks to Toton running through Heckington today with a loco on each end. Aggregates train on a Monday…quelle surprise. Apparently the rear loco avoids the need to run round the agons in Boston Docks which is problematic if there is also a steel train in, which there was today.

(Standard 3Mt) Bristol Barrow rd shed, A span of yard, With nearby gassometer, And brick arched road running over it! 60 year or so ago a grubby urchin spotter would look down or stand the steps to take numbers on his way home from school! Possibly a 73 year old urchin now with a nice shower in his bathroom in his nice expensive house?…
