We had them Peake engines on Bristol Bath rd Michael, And i would do many a mile on the Hymek in the 60s like 7017,18 that are still about somewhere! (preserved)

Stoke Gifford rings a bell Jon! Deliver shunt and work goods from! 64, 65 steam from Barrow road shed. A right mix of steam engines i wish i had taken numbers of now? Alas.

Just been looking at a couple of rail tours doing the Settle to Carlisle, one did appear briefly on here yesterday but then disappeared, and there is on listed for tomorrow but there is not service showing in real time trains, does anyone know what is happening.
If they are putting Tangmere on the service it will be an evens bet that it will…

Hi Michael. We are just getting confirmation, but i think tomorrow’s Dalesman has been cancelled at short notice. Will update when we get any info.
As for electrical problems, to allow a steam engine to run on the mainline today, there are a lot of electricals that are running for the likes of signalling
