I think Heritage rail areas allowing grasses and some vegetation to mature, Seed and die back is good for overwintering birds and suchlike! Burn-back seems to promote new growth for winter seeding! A modern looking unit heads eastwards to Exeter in Devon! Looks twin electric doors? I suppose they can be over-ridden if trains on its side with no driver! We had them Peake engines on Bristol Bath rd Michael, And i would do many a mile on the Hymek in the 60s like 7017,18 that are still about somewhere! (preserved)

Your getting about Jon! Did you go through the Severn tunnel? Driver give it some welly in the bottom with a load of scrap engines on! (all through 1965)

Stoke Gifford rings a bell Jon! Deliver shunt and work goods from! 64, 65 steam from Barrow road shed. A right mix of steam engines i wish i had taken numbers of now? Alas.
