(The Hare and the Tortoise) Ive mentioned before that the eight drive wheel duck or Z class steam engines firebox could burn as white as the Sun on the hottest day! The final service on 22 Dec ’24 on the Middleton Railway. Santa was very busy with all his admirers. Darkness was overtaking the scene hence the glow from the firebox underneath the cab.
