Pannier Tank 5775 on the move at Keighley

Last month, GWR Pannier Tank No. 5775 was taken from Exhibition Shed to ‘s Museum of Rail Travel via .

On the 28th March 2021, 5775 was moved along with North Eastern Saloon 21661 to the museum ready for a Railway Children display.

The L&Y Club Car has, as part of the movements, returned to the Exhibition Shed at Oxenhope on the .

The move was hauled by BR Class 37 No. 37075 which hauled the pannier tank to Keighley for turning on the turntable before it headed off to .

Pannier Tank 5775 is currently out of service awaiting a major overhaul, it currently is in GNSRly livery having featured in The Railway Children film.

Midland Carriage 358’s underframe has been moved next to the body ready to reunite the two soon.

  1. Wow Another Highlight of the Year 2021, especially for the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, of whom (in my book I creatively describe as), West Yorkshire’s Branch Line Heritage Railway),

    I’ve always liked this Orange-Liveried Panner Tank, As we all know, was (and always will be) the exact steam loco that appeared in the 1970 British Motion-Picture Film Classic… The Railway Children.

    Grand Idea seeing this Panner Tank Loco relocate from Oxenhope Exhibition Shed, to Ingrow’s Museum of Rail Travel (Shed), especially down the Worth Valley of whom this Branch Line Heritage Railway gets it’s recognizable namesake.
