Additional services will be introduced from next week by West Midlands Railway as pupils head back to school.
The extra services will run via Birmingham Snow Hill from Monday 8th March. Six more trains will run on the route to provide extra capacity for those needed to travel.
The Birmingham Snow Hill line serves communities to the south of Birmingham, including Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester and Hereford.
West Midlands Railway is reminding the public that rail travel remains for essential use only.
Passengers are being reminded that the Stourbridge Town branch line is closed from the 9th to the 12th March 2021 whilst train maintenance is completed.
Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director for West Midlands Railway, said: “Our routes via Birmingham Snow Hill serve destinations close to a number of large schools which is why we are introducing extra trains from Monday to help returning pupils travel with confidence.
“We encourage pupils using the train to maintain social distancing on board and remind all customers that everyone aged over 11 must wear a face covering by law, unless exempt on medical grounds.”
