Live Map function now available across all Govia Thameslink Railway networks

The Live Map feature is now available across Southern, Great Northern and Thameslink websites

After a successful trial on the website, the ‘Live Map’ function from is now available on all their websites.

The ‘Live Map’ function, which is at the top right of each website, displays information on how trains are running on the network and if there are any delays.

Passengers using , and Southern services can check the colour coded service status for their route and if there are any issues.

The Red, Amber and Green status allows visitors to the website to check their journey.

Although only being used by key workers and for essential travel, the functionality will be used be many more passengers once lockdown restrictions are eased.

Tracy Hall, Head of Customer Information at Govia Thameslink Railway, comments: “We introduced this dynamic new feature based on feedback from customers, colleagues and stakeholders, which highlighted the value of visual aids in relation to service updates.”

Launching this additional layer will provide customers with a real-time snapshot of our services, enabling them to better plan their journeys and avoid disruption.”

    Great Northern in Dark Grey or Silver
    Great Northern Metro in Light Grey
    Thameslink in Pink
    Southern in Dark Green
    Southern Metro in Light Green
    Southern Coastway in Lime Green
    Gatwick Express in Red
