Steam locomotive 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley to pass through Staffordshire this Thursday

60007 Sir Nigel Gresley will be passing through this Thursday, 30th January 2025.

The A4 locomotive is heading to Litchurch Lane Works before returning later in the day.

Departing at 08:16, the locomotive will pass through Stafford (08:53), Trent Valley (09:23), (09:42) and Derby at 09:54 before heading to Litchurch Lane.

Later on in the day, the locomotive will head back to Crewe via Derby (16:06), Burton-on-Trent (17:32), Lichfield Trent Valley (17:55), Stafford (18:15) and Crewe HS at 18:47.

  1. Something must be happening at Litchurch Lane on Thursday as 35018 is visiting Derby on Wednesday with a Light Locomotive coming in from SVR and 60007 arriving from Crewe both on Thursday.. That’s 3 heritage locomotives present at Litchurch Lane on the same day (thursday)

    Unless I’m looking too much into it, my guess is that this is to do with The Greatest Gathering in August
