Network Rail is spending £3 million to install a new bridge to replace the 140-year-old bridge over the railway which was recently demolished. The new bridge is now in position, and Network Rail expects to complete the work in March 2025.

Also in the , Network Rail is carrying out a £3.5m project to overhaul and refurbish a viaduct between Crianlarich and Oban. The viaduct crosses the River Awe a few miles south of Taynuilt.

“The work at Garry Viaduct is essential so we can maintain the structure and keep services on the Highland Main Line safe and reliable.

“We understand the impact this work is having on those living near Garry Viaduct and we thank the community for their patience whilst we carry out this vital project.”
