Steam locomotive to haul Armistice special through Kent

LMS Black 5 No. 44871 on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway

LMS Black 5 No. 44871 is to pass through Kent this Monday (11th November) as it hauls The Armistice Steam Express.

Departing London Victoria at 08:48, the train will pass through Hill (09:02), (09:17), Swanley (09:42), Maidstone East (10:13), (10:31), Ashford International (11:00) and Canterbury West at 11:54.

After around 2 hours in Canterbury, the train will depart at 14:00 and will pass through (14:20), Sandwich (14:32), Folkestone West (15:15), Ashford International (15:51), Paddock Wood (16:32), Swanley (17:25), Nunhead (17:48) and London Victoria at 18:09.

  1. Hi, Our Local paper states the train is routed via Hastings and Rye, but your information which appears to be dated after our paper was published shows the route via Charing. Please advise as I am confused.
