With this weekend being the start of the autumn rugby internationals and the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals, ScotRail has issued travel advice to fans travelling to the matches.
On Saturday, 2nd November, Scotland play Fiji at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, whilst at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Celtic play Aberdeen on Saturday 2nd November and Motherwell face Rangers on Sunday, 3rd November.
On Saturday, ScotRail will provide extra carriages to trains in and out of Edinburgh, including between Edinburgh Waverley and Fife, Perth, and the Borders Railway.
For the football matches at Hampden Park, extra carriages will be added to trains between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida on Saturday and Sunday, and between Glasgow Central and Kings Park on Sunday.
Extra ScotRail staff will be available to assist customers, and ScotRail has reissued the advice that carrying or consuming alcohol on ScotRail trains and in ScotRail stations is prohibited.
