LMS Scot No. 46100 Royal Scot, courtesy of Locomotive Services Group, and GWR Pannier No. 1501, courtesy of the Severn Valley Railway, visited the East Lancashire Railway for their 2022 Spring Steam Gala in February 2022. This set showcases the action with more than 2 hours of footage.
Joining the two visitors were the home fleet of 34092 City of Wells, 52322, 51456, 32 ‘Gothenburg’ and Sentinel ‘Ann’ to operate an intensive timetable. Ann also hauled her first ever passenger trains as part of the event.
This 2 disc set features footage from every station along the line, including Heywood, Bury Bolton Street, Burrs Country Park, Ramsbottom, Irwell Vale and Rawtenstall as well as some lineside spots along the way.
