Lokaltog A/S is advancing its decarbonization efforts in the Zealand region by transitioning to FLIRT battery-powered trains from Stadler, a leading manufacturer of battery-electric multiple units.
These battery-powered trains facilitate a comfortable and zero-emission journey, marking a significant move towards sustainable and decarbonised transportation in Denmark.
The delivery of the new trains is scheduled for 2028.
The agreement finalised in Taastrup, Denmark, encompasses the acquisition of 14 FLIRT Akku trains with a provision for an additional 10 units.
