The Groudle Glen Railway has revealed the name of their locomotive for this years Santa Trains on the Isle of Man.
The railway is welcoming back their Baguley ‘Hi De Hi’ locomotive.
She has just gone through a complete rebuild, courtesy of the North Bay Railway in Scarborough. This is now effectively a new locomotive.
The name comes from Richard Maltby Broadbent, who created the glen, zoo and the railway in the 1890s – without him… no railway!
When can I see the locomotive at the Groudle Glen Railway?
Go and see Maltby on the Santa Specials start on the 9th December – get your tickets now!
