As nearly 700,000 people from around the world flocked to Wembley Stadium for Taylor Swift’s record-breaking The Eras Tour, Transport for London announced that for her shows in June and for the first time since the pandemic, there were over 150,000 entries and exits at Wembley Park Tube station in a day.

During Taylor Swift’s June performances, there were 167,237 entries and exits on Friday, 21st, 153,761 on Saturday, 22nd, and 137,059 on Sunday, 23rd June.

On Thursday ,15th, Friday 16th , and Saturday, 17th August over 441,000 entries and exits were recorded at Wembley Park Tube station, with 146,293 on 15 August, 153,727 on 16 August, and 141,552 on Saturday 17 August.

It is expected that hundreds of thousands more passed through the station for the final two nights on Monday, 19th and Tuesday, 20th August.

Swift’s Eras Tour is estimated to have boosted London’s economy by £300m.

Before her first London performance, Transport for London launched a Swift-themed Tube map, with lines representing her albums and songs for stations.

The map is on display at Wembley Park Tube station to provide photo opportunities for fans who attended the concerts and will remain there for a few more weeks.

Two public artworks have also been unveiled at Wembley Park Tube station, including a giant mural on the Spanish Steps, which have been temporarily renamed the ‘Swiftie Steps’.

Many special events and celebrations have coincided with her performances. According to London Boy, Shoreditch is one of Taylor Swift’s favourite places and is now home to a new fan mural of her.

Although Taylor Swift has said So Long London, the capital will continue singing Thank you for the Music at the sell-out ABBA Voyage concert four days a week until May 2025.

Since the show started in May 2022, entries and exits at Pudding Mill Lane DLR station have soared, with more than before the pandemic; in June 2024 there were over 162,000 entries and exits.

As well as her record numbers in London, Taylor Swift also performed to sell-out crowds in Cardiff and Liverpool.

It’s a huge honour that Taylor Swift chose to perform more nights of her record-breaking The Eras Tour in London than any other city. Her eight concerts at Wembley Stadium have seen nearly 700,000 ‘Swifties’ travel from all corners of the world to be here, boosting our economy and proving that London is truly the music capital of the world. I’d also like to thank the police and security staff in London for all their work in making sure the events went ahead safely.
