Chiltern Railways has partnered up with Buckinghamshire New University and volunteers from Chiltern Rangers to improve High Wycombe station.
In order to improve the appearance of the station and make it more welcoming, there will be art work created and planting schemes.
Art and design students from Buckinghamshire New University will be creating the artwork for the station overbridge.
Volunteers from Chiltern Rangers have already begun to plant and tend to station gardens.
Chiltern is aiming to enhance the station’s link to the area’s history while also improving biodiversity.
This new ongoing partnership will form a new station adopters group funded by Chiltern Railways’ Community Investment Fund (CIF).
“The new partnership is crucial for enhancing High Wycombe station and it is a milestone for new improvements in the area which customers can enjoy.
“I am looking forward to seeing the station reflect the character and diversity of our local communities.”
