Has UK Railtours lost its way? Far fewer tours are being run, and yhose that do run are becoming much pricier. A standard class seat on a UK Railtours trip costs almost twice as much as a standard class seat on an equivalent Hastings Diesels trip. Also, a seat on a uK Railtours diesel-hauled trip costs quite a bit more than a seat on a Steam Dreams steam-hauled trip. And of late at least three UK Railtours trips have been inexplicably postponed. One definitely gets the impression that UK Railtours has lost its touch since the unfortunate death of John Farrow. At first I wondered if UK Railtours would end up by being sold to a similar organisation such as Pathfinder Tours, but I a now wondering if UKR is in danger of folding a.together
