A steam filled weekend is coming to the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway this July as they hold their Summer Steam Festival.
Along with the festival, resident locomotive No. 5 will be named by the Mayor of North East Lincolnshire to mark the 50th anniversary of the “twinning” of Cleethorpes with Konigswinter in Germany.
Sian and Badger from Whistlestop Valley will visit the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway for the gala, joining up with resident locomotives to haul trains on the 13th and 14th July.
At Lakeside station, a selection of miniature traction engines and vintage vehicles will be on display along with an exhibition showcasing the history of the railway.
“We are thrilled to kick off the summer season with the return of this magical festival. It really offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of steam travel.
As well as the trains, this year we are delighted to introduce more live entertainment throughout the weekend and a large selection of vintage vehicles – there’s really something for everyone to enjoy and we cannot wait.”
