More ScotRail services before and after Glasgow Foo Fighters gig

plans to increase the number of trains from to , the nearest station to , on Monday, 17 June.

They have also announced extra late-night return services, ensuring that as many fans as possible can return to Glasgow Central by train after the event.

And the rail operator wants to advise fans planning to attend the concert to check services and plan their journey in advance.

ScotRail also suggests it would be wise to allow extra travel time than usual. This is because it is likely that trains to and from the Glasgow city centre will be in heavier use than on a normal Monday.

They advise customers to avoid queuing by purchasing return tickets through the mTicket system on the ScotRail app before leaving home or on their way to the station. They will instantly be available on a mobile device.

The train operator will have extra customer service staff on hand at key stations across the network. It is also reminding everyone that they prohibit the consumption of alcohol on ScotRail services and in ScotRail stations.

Similar travel arrangements have been implemented for concerts and sporting events at Hampden Park this year. For example, the Scotland Vs Finland International on June 7th and the Scottish Cup Final on May 25th between Celtic and Rangers.
