In its Summer 2024 British Railway Announcements, model Railway manufacturer Bachmann Europe published details of new models for Bachmann Branchline, Graham Farish, Bachmann Narrow Gauge and EFE Rail brands.

In March Bachmann announced that it was working on a Bachmann Branchline OO scale model of a BR 12T ‘Palvan’ in OO scale to be released later this year and Graham Farish N scale models of anchor-mounted tank wagons that will be in shops later this month.

New Bachmann Branchline models of BR Mk.1 BSO, FO, and RB coaches will be available later this year.

There will be 11 versions of the previously-announced Bachmann Branchline OO scale BR Class 25 Diesel Locomotive covering the Class 25/1, 25/2 and 25/3 sub-classes.

Models will be available in standard or SOUND FITTED format, and in the SOUND FITTED DELUXE format with a motorised roof fan and tinted windscreen glazing.

In the Graham Farish N scale range, a version of the Class 450 Electric Multiple Unit in South Western Railway livery will be added to the previously announced South West Trains version.

There will also be new versions of the 102-tonne TEA bogie tank wagons with conical ends, and there are more releases of BR 20-ton brake vans.

Bachmann’s new Narrow Gauge NG7 range is planned to be available in the next three months and includes Quarry Hunslet steam locomotives and Dinorwic Wagons as well as buildings and accessories from Bachmann’s Scenecraft brand.

OO scale models in the Scenecraft range include a canal lock, two types of small station buildings, and a GSMr telecom cabin and monopole.

The popular Ffestiniog Railway series for use on OO9 and OO scale layouts and dioramas includes new models of the waiting room at Minffordd, the footbridge at Tan-y-Bwlch, Boston Lodge engine shed, and Harbour Station goods shed.

Included in the EFE Rail OO scale range are a Plasser 12T general-purpose crane, which has been a familiar sight on the British railway network over the last 50 years, and a Great Western Railway ‘Bloater’ fish van that was built for fish traffic from 1916.

Versions for the S8, S9 and S10 diagrams will be available, as well as ‘Bloater A’s fitted with a dual braking system. A new version of the Adams O2 will also be available with the original, open coal rails for both the mainland and Isle of Wight versions.
