Grand Central, the York-based rail operator has announced that they are to be the headline sponsor of the 25th York Residents’ Festival.
The festival is taking place this weekend and is organised by Make It York and s a ‘thank you’ to residents for the welcome they give to millions of visitors each year.
There will be an opportunity to explore more than 100 attractions around the city for free. This will be available to anyone with a valid YorkCard or student card. Also, a number of retails offers will be available in shops and food and drink outlets.
Grad Central will be handing out branded goodie bags to visitors to the festival. They are the headline sponsor of the York Residents’ Festival for the second year running. The transport around 450,000 people to/from York each year.

Liam Smallwood, Marketing Communications Executive at Grand Central, said:
