Staff at Hull Trains have been praised at the first employee awards at the company, which operate around Hull.
Former Home Secretary and MP, Alan Johnson, hosted the awards.
Colleagues and their partners attended the ceremony.
All colleagues won the award for the ‘Commited to Customers’ award and won a £50 voucher each. Several colleagues were recognised for safety, community engagement and customer services.
A special award went to on-board host Annette Brown who receives praise on a regular basis from both customers and work colleagues.
The contribution of employees who have given 10 years of service was also recognised. This totalled more than a third of the company.
Will Dunnett, Managing Director of Hull Trains says: “Our colleagues have delivered an amazing journey over the last 17 years and this evening was our way of recognising that. Our business is in a very strong and exciting place.”
He added “With the support of a sustainable long-term business plan and an eye on the introduction of new, bi-mode high-tech trains, there has never been a more appropriate time to recognise the efforts of our colleagues and their achievements.”
