In common with other train operators, Avanti West Coast train services will be disrupted by ASLEF strike action and overtime ban until next Monday, 5 February.
On Saturday, 3 February ASLEF members will be on strike which will result in no Avanti West Coast services.
The strike will also have a knock-on effect on services on Friday, 2 and Sunday, 4 February.
Anyone intending to travel in the period up to next Monday should check before they travel as the strike action will also affect other train companies on other days.
The strike action on Saturday will also affect West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway services.
Anyone booked to travel on that day should either claim a refund, seek alternative transport, or rearrange their travel for an alternative date.
Other train operators are being affected by the strikes through to Monday, 5 February, and anyone who booked a ticket before 16 January for travel in this period can claim a full, fee-free refund from where they purchased their tickets.
Alternatively, tickets that have already been bought and are dated up till next Monday, 5 February can use them at any time until Wednesday, 7 February.
ASLEF members have also imposed an overtime ban until Tuesday, 6 February. Avanti West Coast plans to run normal services during this period (except for the strike day and the days on either side), but customers should check before they travel as the effect of the overtime ban will vary on different routes, and journeys using more than one train operator may be affected.

Andy Mellors, Managing Director at Avanti West Coast, said: “Our customers want to be out using our network and it is disappointing that we are once again asking them not to travel on a weekend. We understand their frustration and can only apologise for the disruption to their plans. We d encourage those able to do so, to take advantage of the ticket easement, and change their day of travel. Alternatively, customers are entitled to a full fee-free refund.”
