  1. I thought we were getting a High Speed train? This is another pathetic cheap botch job for the North. People wanting to get to the jobs in Manchester will have five minutes knocked off their journey time. We have a saying in the North, “Buy cheap, buy twice.”

  2. You should worry. The underpass at Romiley was supposed to reopen on the 22nd of NOVEMBER!! & there is no sign of it being re-opened 7 repeat SEVEN weeks later. No reason given so we are not holding our breath.Little wonder that HS2 is well over budget and half of it cancelled.
    What more can you say?.

  3. They meant a U.T.X which is an under track crossing for cables.they underpass will be filled in and platform access will be via overbrigdes connecting the platforms

    1. Good question. I thought the underpass was going to be closed and a bridge put in. I have seen they’ve done some drilling in platform 1, but there’s nothing new there (or not when I was there yesterday).
