Tickets are now on sale for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway’s Light Spectacular event taking place on thirteen evenings in October and November.
Participants will travel on an hour-long, illuminated journey on a steam train departing from Pickering station at 6pm and 7:45pm every evening from Friday 27 October until Sunday 5 November and from Friday 10 until Sunday 12 November.
The steam train will travel from Pickering to Levisham and back, and will be adorned with seventeen thousands LED lights, and passengers will be given a flashing wristband which synchronize with the on-board lightshow and music.
TV’s ‘Voice Over Man’ will entertain passengers and create a party atmosphere.
Tickets for what the Railway describes as a “must-see (and hear) experience” are £25 per person.
Luke Hudman, Marketing Manager at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway explains, “It’s a fantastic event that has the wow factor and just makes everyone gasp and smile from the moment you see the train arrive at the platform – even the grown-ups! It’s so impressive and seeing the faces of families light up is a highlight in our events calendar each year. It’s a great way to end our main running season and we’ve already had many asking about tickets, so I recommend you book yours early!”
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) will be hosting further events, including its fiftieth anniversary Steam Gala (21-24 September) and Santa Specials (various dates throughout December).
