Rother Valley Wins ‘Unanimous’ Decision

The has been unanimously approved to work on plans to reconnect the Kent and East Sussex Railway with the Mainline at Robertsbridge.

A meeting took place on 16th March 2017 where all 15 members of the Rother District Council (RDC) voted for the RVR’s planning application to reinstate the missing two miles of the railway. Which is between Northbridge Street and Junction Road.

When complete, the line will be operated by the Kent and East Sussex Railway, and it will be 13.5 miles long when the work is complete

The Rother Valley can now apply to Parliament for a Transport & Works Act Order.

What did the Press Officer At The Rother Valley Railway Say?

Mark Yonge, who is Press Officer for the Rother Valley Railway said “For it to be unanimously approved shows the strength of support for the project.”
