Passengers travelling with Chiltern Railways are being warned of late starts and busy trains on Sunday the 2nd of April due to engineering work and The Papa John’s Trophy Final takes place at Wembley.
The engineering work taking place will see an amended timetable in action due to the partial closure of the line between Birmingham New Street and London Euston alongside further work taking place between Oxford and Didcot Parkway.
The Papa John’s Trophy Final which is taking place at Wembley Stadium on the 2nd of April will also see trains busier than usual.
Between Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street, lengthened trains will be operating for the majority of the day but will begin service later than usual and are anticipated to be extremely busy. The services will begin between 9am and 10am and some will make extra calls to Wembley Stadium.
Rail replacement buses will be in action for those making their way to or from Kings Sutton, Warwick, Hatton, Lapworth and stations between Amersham and Aylesbury Vale Parkway.
Customers travelling with Chiltern Railways on Sunday the 2nd of April are being strongly advised to triple-check their travel ahead of leaving for their journey and to make sure that they are aware of the times of the first service of the day.
