Wensleydale Railway has announced the return of their Afternoon Tea train. The service goes from Leeming Bar to Leyburn, where passengers can enjoy the scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and enjoy a selection of food.
The service returns with a Mother’s Day tea train on Sunday 19th March, with the rest of the services available on 9th April, 18th June, 30th July, 20th August and 15th October.
The railways volunteer staff will be serving a selection of tea or coffee and fresh sandwiches. There will be a short break at Leyburn with the return journey seeing passengers served cake and scones.
The tea trains depart at 14:30 and will last for around two hours. The Mother’s Day services will start and finish at Bedale due to engineering work.
The services will be doing their best to accommodate or dietary requirements which can be stated during booking.
Unfortunately, the vintage coaches do not have access for wheelchair users however, those with mobility constraints will be assigned seats closest to the door is stated during booking.
The service tickets cost £45 per adult and £25 for children, which includes the rail ticket and a complimentary drink.
