When to see steam locomotive 44871 in York this Sunday

44871 will be back on the mainline once again this Sunday, as it heads up the East Coast Mainline with another tour.

The Black 5 locomotive is on a Steam Dreams Excursion from Finsbury Park to York.

Departing Finsbury Park at 09:02, the train will pass through Alexandra Palace (09:11), Potters Bar (09:24), Welwyn Garden City (09:43), Stevenage (09:57), Sandy (10:19), Peterborough (11:21), Spalding (11:47), Lincoln Central (12:31), Doncaster (13:51), Church Fenton (13:33) and York at 14:51.

The Black 5 now leaves the train, with the return journey being hauled by a heritage diesel locomotive.

The return journey will depart York at 18:06, and will pass through Doncaster (18:35), Newark North Gate (19:05), Peterborough (20:02), Sandy (20:49), Stevenage (21:08), Potters Bar (21:28), Finsbury Park (21:42), and London Kings Cross at 22:13.
