The North Tyneside Steam Railway has announced that they will be holding a special Volunteer Recruitment Day this June.

The volunteer day is to celebrate National Volunteer Week.

This Volunteer Recruitment Day will be held on Sunday, 9th June 2019.

This is a great opportunity to see what the volunteers do on operating, and non-operating days at the North Tyneside Steam Railway.

This can range from guards, drivers and firemen, to P-Way, who look after the track.

Alongside train rides there will be guided workshop tours, allowing you to see what happened behind the scenes, drive a diesel experiences and much more.

The locomotive for train services is to be confirmed.
