Kids Go Free is only available on ‘Northern only’ off-peak tickets, including day returns, returns, and advance purchases, for children aged between 5 and 15.

As well as free travel, Northern is entertaining families across their network with face painting and circus performers, all part of the Kids Go Free scheme.

What did the officials say?

Northern’s Commercial and Customer Director, Mark Powles said:

“For the February half term, children aged between five and 15 can travel for free if they travel with an adult. Of course, kids under five always travel free on our trains.

“It’s a great discount, and gives our customers even more opportunities to discover everything the North of England has to offer.”

  1. So Northern are allowing kids to travel during half term whilst they could plan more strikes. They are a absolute rip off of a train franchise who have failed to provide better rail services for the North of England. And letting passengers down because of the strikes. Northern should be stripped off its franchise. Disgraceful.
