Nexus has announced that their staff have raised over £10,000 for a local mental health charity.
Tyneside and Northumberland Mind will benefit from the donation made by the operator, which follows a year of fundraising by employees, who organised a range of events.
The money amounts to £10,750 in total and was officially handed over at a cheque presentation on Monday 4 February at Central Metro station concourse in Newcastle.
Nexus had chosen to support Mind in 2018 as it has been focused on promoting mental health and wellbeing across its workforce.
