Steam locomotive 45212 to haul tour down Cumbrian Coast this Thursday

LMS Black 5 No. 45212 will be hauling The Northern Belle tour to Carlisle this Thursday (10th November).

This tour is usually routed via the Settle and Carlisle line, but due to train derailment in Carlisle, the tour will be routed via the Cumbrian Coast Line.

Departing Coventry behind diesel locomotives at 07:33, the tour will pass through (07:44), Wolverhampton (08:35), (09:04), Crewe (09:31), Preston (10:24) and Carlisle at 11:46.

After time at Carlisle and 45212 now attached, the tour will depart at 13:33. 45212 will pass through (14:14), Whitehaven (14:46), St Bees (14:57), (15:11), Barrow-in-Furness (16:20), Grange-over-Sands (16:51), and South Junction at 17:08, where 45212 is swapped for the diesel locomotives.

The tour will return to Coventry via Preston (18:13), Crewe (19:24), Stafford (19:55), Wolverhampton (20:23), Birmingham International (21:02) and Coventry at 21:25.
