ScotRail is helping students with a huge 50% discount on rail fares until the 25th of September 2022

The half-price Off-Peak tickets are available from Monday the 5th of September and aim to support students heading to college or university travelling on ScotRail services across Scotland.

The offer is available to use until the 25th of September and will provide students with cheaper travel and providing a great opportunity to get out and about visiting cities or friends ahead of term starting. With no restrictions on the number of ticket purchases, students can take advantage of the offer as many times as they wish between the offer dates of the 5th to the 25th of September.

To take part in the deal, a valid student ID is required when buying tickets which are available at staffed stations or on-board trains if travelling from an unstaffed station. The offer is not available online and booking ahead is not required.

Off-Peak Return tickets feature valid return travel for up to one month after purchase, which means the very last date for return travel is the 24th of October. Off-Peak Day Return tickets must see the entire journey completed on the same day as purchase.
