StudioCanal has released the official trailer and poster for The Railway Children Return, which steams into Cinemas on the 15th July 2022.

The Railway Children Return is a brand new film with a new story, and is not a remake of the original film. Bafta and Emmy Award Winning Jenny Agutter resumes her role as Bobbie from the original Railway Children film and is joined by Sheridan Smith, Tom Courtenay and John Bradley in the film.

The new generation of The Railway Children are Beau Gadsdon, KJ Aikens, Eden Hamilton, Austin Haynes and Zac Cudby.

In 1944, as Britain’s cities become increasingly dangerous, three evacuees are sent from Salford to Oakworth.

When the children find injured soldier, Abe, hiding in the yard at Oakworth station, they are put into a dangerous quest to assist their new friend who is also a long way from home.

Featuring in the film is the key locations from the original film, include Haworth, The Bronte Parsonage, Oakworth Station and the iconic location on the .

The main locomotives of the film are featured at a number of locations, with 45596 Bahamas (as 5596), 4F 43924 (as 3924) and Big Jim 5820.

The Blu-Ray and DVD release will include a documentary and interviews with key original cast members.
