The RH&DR is one of Kents most popular tourist attractions and is known as ‘Kent’s Mainline in Miniature’ due to their wonderful collection of well loved 1/3rd size steam and diesel locomotives which run along their 13½ miles of track.

The railway runs through the Cinque port town of Hythe and on to Dungeness which is a National Nature Reserve. The heritage railway has 4 stations all within walking distance of a beach and offers plenty of chance to get off the trains and explore this beautiful area.
