Costa Coffee opens at Cambridge North railway station

Greater Anglia has announced that Costa Coffee has opened up shop at Cambridge North railway station, meaning passengers can now buy coffee more conveniently.

Fresh hot coffee, teas, pastries and light refreshments can now be purchased in the booking hall

Cambridge North is East Anglia’s newest railway station, and since opening has welcomed 320,000, on average, thats 6,000 people a week.

The station has three platforms with services to Norwich, London Liverpool Street, London King’s Cross.

What did the officials say?

Andrew Goodrum, ‘s Customer Service Director, said:

“I’m delighted that Costa is now here, improving customer service and the ambience of the station.”

  1. 2 through platforms used for trains to King’s Lynn, Norwich, London and Peterborough aswell freights passing through Cambridge North. Whilst the bay platform is used for trains heading back to London Liverpool Street (Greater Anglia) or London King’s Cross (GTR Great Northern/Thameslink).

    But at least Costa Coffee will keep the passengers and commuters happy no matter if there are delays to services on either Greater Anglia or Great Northern/Thameslink.

    1. Plus Stansted Express could also serve Cambridge North with the new trains to start service from next year that they will operate between Norwich and Stansted Airport (Direct service).
