New set down options have been added to Intercity‘s The Clansman tour, which is set to run on Saturday 26th to Sunday 27th February 2022.
Departing London Euston, the tour will take in the West Coast Main Line behind a Class 87 locomotive, before swapping to two Class 47 locomotives in the Scottish Lowlands.
Pickup and set down locations for the tour are London Euston, Milton Keynes, Rugby, Birmingham International, Stafford, Preston and two new options of Perth and Aviemore.
Once the train departs Perth, the train will take in the Highland Main Line with the locomotives taking in both Drumochter and Slochd summits as it passes through Cairngorn National Park.
Tickets are available for £249 per person are can be bought from the InterCity website.
Advisory timings for the tour are (Note the outbound timings are for Saturday 26th February), whilst the return timings are for the 27th February 2022.

Intercity’s 2022 tour season kicks off on Wednesday 26th January 2022 with The Electric Scot, which will depart London Euston and will head via Milton Keynes Central, Rugby, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Crewe and Preston before arriving into Glasgow Central. Tickets are available on the Intercity Website.
