Where and when to see steam locomotive 60103 Flying Scotsman in Scarborough and Peterborough tomorrow

Steam locomotive 60103 Flying Scotsman will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Scarborough and Peterborough on Saturday 23rd June 2018.

The A3 locomotive is on a special railtour tomorrow. 60103 is hauling ‘The Scarborough Flyer’ tomorrow from Scarborough to Ealing Broadway.

The steam locomotives will depart Scarborough at approximately 06:24 am.

The railtour will then leave Scarborough, bound for Ealing Broadway, where it will steam through Seamer (06:31) and Malton (06:46) before stopping at York at 07:19 to pick up passengers.

After around 10 minutes, 60103 will depart York at 07:28. From here, the A3 will make further stops at Sherburn-in-Elmet (07:49), Doncaster (08:46), Saxilby (09:28) and Lincoln Central (09:48) before stopping at Peterborough at 11:14.

After another 10 minute break, Flying Scotsman will depart Peterborough and will make a further stop for fuelling at Conington Loop at 11:41 (not accessible to public) before steaming through Stevenage (12:53) and Welwyn Garden City (13:01) before making stops at Alexandra Palace (13:28) and Finsbury Park (13:37) before heading the short distance to Ealing Broadway via Gospel Oak.

60103 will then arrive at Ealing Broadway at 14:44.

The return working is covered by a heritage diesel, as Flying Scotsman is staying down south for another railtour next week.
