On Wednesday 6 October, two men assaulted a teenager on a train travelling between Airdrie and Balloch in Scotland. (BTP) officers are appealing for witnesses to the assault.

At around 3.30 pm on Wednesday 6 October, the victim boarded the train at Singer railway station.

During the journey, two men approached him. One repeatedly punched and kicked him while the other man filmed the assault.

The two men left the train at Dumbarton railway station and ran off.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to assist their enquiries. They are especially keen to hear from two women who comforted the victim immediately after the attack.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 432 of 06/10/21.

Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
