Freight operator, Freightliner, has today unveiled its brand new identity at the Multimodal exhibition, which is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham.
Freightliner‘s parent company, Genesee & Wyoming, has recently acquired Pentalver Transport. The businesses’ commercial teams now serve three core platforms of Road, Rail and Terminals.
The new logo is consistent with that of Pentalver and more than 120 G&W freight railroads in North America, Australia and Europe. The logo comes into immediate effect on Freightliner’s social media and website.
The freight operator will soon commence the rebranding of its intermodal and bulk rail terminals. It will also start on the trucks, locomotives and wagons.
What did the officials say?
G&W UK/Europe Region CEO Gary Long said:
“With this in mind, it now makes sense to align the Freightliner brand with that of G&W, providing consistency across the three platforms”.
“This investment will drive further improvement in service performance and efficiency from a customer perspective and also facilitate future growth.”

Well a lot of thought went into designing that logo.
It was taken over in February 2015
So in fact. Freightliner is being taken over by a American rail company. It that is correct?
